It might be difficult to name exactly what’s bothering you and what you are missing, but you definitely feel that you are stuck and that you want, or need, to change.
I will coach and guide you on your journey to "unstuck" you.
You are coming to me with something that is as personal as it can get. I am aware how difficult it can be to open up and be vulnerable to somebody you haven't met before. And it will take a little time to establish the trust that you need in order to do so.
I will always do my best to provide a safe space for you, be fully present and to listen without any judgement.
Everybody is the same
We all come to the world with the same basic needs:
* Need for connection/attachment
* Need for authenticityMany of us are taught early on that, to some extent, we have to sacrifice one or both needs so that we can feel safe/to survive. Sometimes the balance is lost later in life.
In order to cope and deal with these unmet needs we manifest all kinds of different behaviours (we might focus on our work and career, become a people pleaser, relieve our pain with food, alcohol, etc). These behaviours are driven by our thoughts, emotions and feelings that are most of the time based on our values and beliefs. However, we are not our emotions and we can change unhelpful values and beliefs, even the ones that have been with us our whole life.

Everybody is different
Everybody's story is different, everybody's behaviour manifests in a different way and everybody's need for support is different. We always start in the present, with the behaviours and the emotions that concern you and that you might want to change. Here the important part is to bring awareness to you, so that you understand the patterns that are (unconsciously) running. This is already a big achievement!
You can then decide, through a step-by-step process, to go deeper in re-visiting the past. This helps us collectively identify your emotional processes to then change them so that they can help, not harm, you.
There is an immense tool-box available to us so that we can find the best frameworks to help you. These can be helpful outside of our sessions as well.

WHAT DOES A SESSION CONSIST OF?
Together, we will talk about the changes you want to make and understand where the behaviours and emotions you are struggling with come from. Often, identifying the pattern of these emotions and resulting behaviours is already eye-opening and a big relief. However, most of the time you cannot talk yourself out of it. "The issues are in the tissues" - our beliefs and behaviours are so ingrained into our body that they run on auto-pilot. Our cognitive mind is not in control when we have, for example, a sudden craving for a glass of wine after a long day.
A holistic mind-body approach is able to connect to the auto-pilot and change the direction. We will work with some of the most effective tools in order to do this. Not all tools listed here work for everybody, but we'll find the ones that work best for you:

I still feel amazed thinking about myself as a therapist. My career in IT didn't prepare me for it :)
During my life I mostly felt happy and content - although I observed some behaviours that I didn't like but couldn't explain.
One (fun) way of dealing with these emotions was through stand-up comedy. I only came across therapeutic coaching and the healing process after a friend introduced me to this world of possibilities and self-exploration. Needless to say, it completely changed my life. It has changed how I see the world, how I see myself and how I see everybody else in a completely different way. It liberated me and it led me to my true purpose: Helping others live a life that makes them happier and more compassionate towards themselves, and others.
